THE TEAM
Coven ‘s creative team is located the Madison Valley neighborhood of Seattle. We celebrate the diversity in hair types and believe our stylists should be fully versed in all types of tresses. From the slickest of strands to the kinkiest of coils, we welcome all clientele. We are mostly known for our skills with curly hair! We have several curl specialists on staff however every teammate has been through Coven salon’s “curl clinic”. Coven is comfort, luxury, but overall, community.

Meet Alexis! She began her career as a stylist in 2000 in Tulsa Okalahoma and relocated to Seattle in 2006. Opening a salon that welcomes all humans and hair types has always been her dream. After partnering with Jenny Slay and Emily Hartl from Vain, (an iconic Seattle salon) Coven salon was was born in 2014.
Alexis is a dedicated professional passionate about redefining the ideas around frizz, celebrating textured hair, and challenging traditional beauty standards.
‘As an artist and stylist, my main objective is to empower my clients and instill confidence in their ability to embrace their chosen hairstyle while appreciating their natural hair texture’.
Alexis is Devacurl certified, and has been featured in Seattle Magazine.
Beyond her work at the salon, she finds solace in pottery. She sees the process of molding clay similar to the art of sculpting hair.
She shares her home with Sweet Joe P (her husband) and two snorty brindled Buggs named Gail and Zora.

Charlee is one of Coven’s newest additions! Charlee joined the Coven team in September of 2025 as an apprentice! She is quickly moving through our apprentice program and is taking clients part time.
She moved to Seattle from Alaska in 2023 and since then has graduated from the Aveda Institute in Seattle.
She loves doing all things hair but vivid color, textured mullets/shags, and any other funky styles are Charlee’s favorite! Charlee is a natural born hairdresser, who can slay a perfect blowout and will be building her own clientele in no time.
Outside the salon you can find Charlee painting or drawing but her true passions lie in chasing adrenaline! Going on adventures when she has the chance, like cliff jumping, kayaking and roller coasters! Although she has no pets at the moment, Charlee is a big animal lover! She’s also a bit of a bug enthusiast, she wears a death moth as a charm almost daily. She enjoys spending her time researching bugs, frogs and plants alike. Charlee is the perfect balance of calm and quirky.
Her go to karaoke song is Mamamia by Måinskin.
Fans of Freddie Dredd, Khary, Dominic Fike, Sleep Token, and WesGhost should sit in Charlee’s chair!

Chloe joined Coven salon in the summer 2024 and completed Coven salon’s apprentice program. Chloe graduated from the Aveda Institute in Seattle. Chloe loves working with all things curly hair. She has an amazing head of hair of her own! Chloe is quirky, openly queer and passionate about connecting with other LGBTQIA2S+ peoples.
D & D, guitar, video games and random factoids are Chloe's bag and of course exploring all things hair. In Chloe's time at Coven, their apprenticeship was overseen by Alexis + Scott + the rest of our team. So you can trust you'll be in good hands! Treat yourself to a great cut and color and book with Chloe, she’s already building quite the following so book with her soon!

Ginger has been at Coven salon since 2022. You will recognize her by her iconic style, her pleasant voice and her welcoming nature. She’s usually the first person to greet you when you enter the salon. Beyond her expertise in connecting you with the perfect artist, her chill demeanor will calm any concerns you may have before booking any appointment!
Outside of the salon you may not be able to find her. She a stealthy indoor enthuiast who sketches, draws and loves an online gaming. D&D is her love language.

Hannah recently moved to Seattle from Minneapolis MN and has joined the Coven! Hannah got her cosmetology license in 2020 and apprenticed at Haus salon, (one of the most rigorous programs in MN) and built a very loyal clientele based on her client focused approach.
Hannah is a cutting specialist and she knows her way around all hair types! Hannah works with all lengths, textures, shapes, and gender expressions. Variety is what keeps her passionate!
She is trained in many techniques such as classic precision cutting, straight razor cutting, barbering, and dry cutting.
Her current favorite haircuts to do are shorter styles such as pixies, bixies, bobs; any soft wearable shape she can tailor to perfectly accentuate what clients love about themselves!
When sitting in Hannah’s chair, get ready for some grounded cozy vibes. Hannah is warm, positive and very easy to talk to. Being a big animal lover, you can find Hannah outside the salon hanging out with her shiba inu named Zayde and her cat Smead. She is also a part time dog walker so get ready for plenty of pup photos! When she’s not hanging out with her 4 legged friends, she reads good books and watches bad tv.

Jennifer is a Washington native and is a Seattle hair legend. With 20+ years in the industry, Jennifer is a Jill of all trades. She is mostly known for natural, messy, French influenced, easy to wear hair. ‘I love to do hair that compliments a client’s favorite feature.’ Lived in reds and golden hues with hand touseled blowouts are Jen’s signature.
She is certified in Mizani’s Airtouch, and is a Redken color specialist.
Outside of the salon you may find her hiking, writing, singing and picking up a barbell. She has a passion for driving rally cars, and watching Formula 1. Ask her about her 1976 BMW or her Porsche.

Kassondra is a precision cutting specialist with over 7 years experience. Kass can do almost anything with a clipper or shear. Kass is one of our most versatile stylists and can handle any hair project. Although she is known for her barbering, Kass' favorite hair to do is long layered lived in hair.
Kass was recently certified in installing Babe extensions.
Kass is a skilled fiber artist who has a comprehensive and unique approach to color. While working in eastern Washington Kass was exposed to a diverse range of hair colors and textures.
Kass' ability to charm and chat will make any client comfortable. She is outgoing and fun but if vibrant conversation isn't your thing she is happy to sit with you in silence.
Outside of the salon you can find Kass doing one of her many hobbies. Knitting, crocheting and even spinning her own yarn! Kass also has 2 sweet bunnies, Bun and Appa and a big boi black lab named Jethro. Her favorite karaoke song is Teenage Dirtbag by Wheetus

Kenzie made her way to Coven salon from Idaho in 2023. Along with being an integral piece of our front desk team she is also our salon manager. If you are booking, moving or adjusting an appointment you have worked closely with Kenzie. Her ability to navigate the many moving parts and problem solve is what makes her such a natural leader on our front desk team.
Out of the salon you can catch Kenzie, thrifting or at metal shows. You will never ever catch her singing karaoke but if you’re hosting a game night, she’s in!
We are grateful to have Kenzie on our team and you can always trust you are in great hands. She always gets it done!

Sara has been at Coven salon 2016! Sara is one of our most multi-faceted stylists. She is known for working with thick, curly hair. Really, her specialty is curls of any texture. She is a talented vivids colorist, and loves a dramatic transformation. However, a perfect day can be spent hand painting curls with subtle pops of vivids to spice things up.
Sara is one of Coven’s longest employees and she has created quite a roster of faithful devotees! She’ll remember when you got married, when you had to say goodbye to your pet, when your son graduated, when you started therapy, but she will never ever remember where you part your hair. She will ask you though!
Sara is Mizani Aircut certified, and Babe extension certified. She also just helps keep the salon running smoothly!
Sara’s an acapella and karaoake enthusiast. Outside of the salon you can find her spending quality time with her beautiful daughter Jo, and her dogs regular sized Rudy and Jocelyn!

Garden state alumni Scott has been at Coven salon since 2022. He was a natural addition to our team with his curl expertise. Scott also heads up our apprentice program. He is a natural teacher and is passionate about education and his craft. Scott is known for working with curls, effortless bobs, dynamic mullets, and supernatural reds.
Scott is skilled in all hair types and never tires of bobs and mullets! Razor cutting, dry cutting, balayage, really and truly Scott can do it all. He is one of our most dynamic teammates. Scott does have a PSA he’s like you to hear ‘stop apologizing for you hair when you come in! Our space is a judgment free zone! You don't have to apologize if it's tangled, dirty, sweaty etc.! We're just happy to have you with us!’
Scott is Arrojo trained and Ouidad certified.
Outside of the salon you can find Scott hanging with his beautiful dog Sylvan! Scott loves thrifting, antiquing, and baking... basically he’s a fancy grandmother. A golden girl really!
